THRIVE Labs: Phase Three
building regional, State, & multi-state Ecosystems
EIC's ultimate vision is to create a first-in-class youth-powered, community-engaged personal and career development ecosystem across the state and beyond. We believe Nevada could be a leader in developing and demonstrating this type of developmental learning system. Initially Thrive Labs serve to supplement the existing schools for teenagers. With time, the model - with it's project-based career developing challenges with community coaches - can be a role model and facilitator of the transformation of the whole system. We believe that the "whole system" is the continuum of learning that integrates homes, education providers both physical and virtual, and workplaces - to empower the highest quality of learning opportunities for all citizens - from birth through career, retirement, and senior wisdom years.
Our goal and mission is to develop and share a comprehensive Thrive Lab Operating System (TLOS) that enables every community of youth, parents, employers, and educators to co-create a Thrive Lab in their community.
Each Thrive Lab would be designed, names, marketed, and operated BY YOUTH MEMBERS and their Advisory Team to serve the unique needs of community members in their area.
Each Thrive Lab location MAY have similar Career Studios and program offerings as the original Thrive Lab Tahoe. However, with true networking and leveraging of unique resources and needs of each community, each Lab may specialize in some areas - offering virtual and hybrid Project Challenges with expert coaches local to them.
As such projects are designed to be virtual and/or hybrid, and remote students could access (or acuire) specialized equipment in their community to do the project, then we will have realized the full value of the Thrive Network: learners living anywhere can collaborate with expert coaches living anywhere to experience the highest quality learning to develop to their unique potential.

the role of eic - network resource coordinator
EIC we serve as the central coordinator of the TLOS system and studios programs development that enables all labs to be linked together for sharing programs and resources - people, courses, challenges, technologies, supplies, and funding - to create a dynamic statewide learning ecosystem.
By sharing resources, virtually and physically, every student - no matter where they live or what their learning and economic needs are - will have access to the optimal learning experiences and coaches they need to reach their goals and their potential. This has the added benefit of strengthening the ties among communities throughout the state.
